The Fastershire Project is managed and funded by Herefordshire Council, Gloucestershire County Council and The Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS).
Fastershire is committed to keeping any personal information you give us safe. We use the information we collect about you to send you communications about the faster broadband project in Herefordshire and Gloucestershire that may be of interest to you, either electronically or otherwise.
The following policy explains how your personal information will be treated. This policy may change from time to time.
How do we collect information?
We will collect personal information from you when you make an enquiry with us, request information updates via our “keep me posted” form, attend one of our events or otherwise provide us with personal information.
When we refer to “personal information” in this privacy policy, we mean information, which identifies you as an individual, or is capable of doing so. Accordingly, we may hold and use data about you in your capacity as a consumer, a business customer, as an individual acting on behalf of a business customer, or in any other capacity, for example, when you visit our websites.
What information do we collect about you and when do we collect it?
The types of information collected might include your name, business name (if applicable), email address, contact telephone numbers, private/business address and your requirements for faster broadband.
How do we use this information?
We will use your personal information to provide you with the information you have requested. For instance if you have completed our “keep me posted” form, we will send you updates as the roll out of faster broadband expands into new areas.
When you provide personally identifiable information to us, we may use it to provide you with ongoing information about the rollout of faster broadband. We may also use it to assess the effectiveness of marketing campaigns. Fastershire will not rent, sell or lease this personally identifiable information to other companies or individuals. Sharing information with other people
Your information may be shared with project’s rollout suppliers as data processors for the purposes of checking the availability of faster broadband to you. The Fastershire project is supplier neutral and your details will not be provided to nor used by internet service providers (ISPs) for the purpose of marketing broadband products and services to you.
Your information may be provided to other companies who provide administration services on our behalf, for example a mailing house or email marketing provider, but solely for the purpose of providing you with the information you have requested and not for marketing purposes by anyone other than Fastershire. Your information will not be shared with any other parties other than our chosen processing agents.
Changes
If your personal details change, please help us to keep your information up to date by notifying us (email info@fastershire.com).
We may change our privacy policy from time to time. New policies will be published on our website.
Data protection
We are committed to dealing with personal data in the spirit of the Data Protection Act 1998 (“the Act”) and protecting personal privacy in accordance with the law.

Any information you share with us is securely stored in our databases or in our processing partners’ databases. We operate an email opt-in policy, so should you wish to stop receiving information via email from us you are able to do this via the link included at the bottom of every marketing email we send you.
If you do not wish to receive marketing information from Fastershire by post please email info@fastershire.com with your name, business name and postal address and enter ‘postal opt-out’ in the subject line.

Availability
It is technically impracticable to provide a fault-free website and Fastershire does not undertake to do so. In the event of a fault, Fastershire will attempt to restore the website as soon as is reasonably practicable.
Access to the website may occasionally be suspended or restricted for operational reasons such as maintenance or the introduction of new facilities.
Fastershire reserves the right at any time and without notice to modify, edit, delete, suspend, discontinue, temporarily or permanently, any content or any part of the website.

Content provided including information, data, material, text, designs, graphics, pictures, video, photographs, applications, software, audio and other files, and their selection and presentation, is owned by or licensed to Fastershire by third parties. It is protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual property rights as applicable and provided solely for your own use. Republication or redistribution of the content, including by framing or similar means, is prohibited.
Address checker
Fastershire may update the postcode checker or change the content from time to time. However, please note that any of the content of the postcode checker is provided on an “as is” basis and may be out of date at any given time, and Fastershire is under no obligation to update it. Fastershire makes no representations, warranties or guarantees, whether express or implied, that the postcode checker or any of its content is accurate, complete or up-to-date.
Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms of use excludes or limits Fastershire’s liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by English law.
To the extent permitted by law, Fastershire excludes all conditions, warranties, representations or other terms which may apply to the postcode checker or any of its content or your use of any data provided to you via the postcode checker, whether express or implied.
Fastershire excludes all liability for loss or damage arising out of or in connection with your use of the postcode checker and your use of or reliance on any data provided to you via the postcode checker. This includes, without limitation, direct loss, loss of business, profits, sales or revenue, business interruption, loss of anticipated savings, loss of business opportunity, good will or reputation, and any indirect, consequential and incidental damages.
Intellectual Property Rights
You have received information that is derived from databases (or parts or extracts thereof) which Fastershire is authorised to use (the “Data”). Fastershire is licensed all intellectual property rights which subsist in and/or relate to that Data from time to time. You must not at any time copy, reproduce, publish, sell, let, lend, extract, reutilise or otherwise part with possession or control of or relay or disseminate any part of this information or use it for any purpose other than your own personal use.
All database rights, copyright, trade marks and other intellectual property rights in the postcode checker or any of its content (including any Data) are owned by or licensed to Fastershire. Your permitted use of the postcode checker does not operate as an assignment by Fastershire of any of these intellectual property rights. Fastershire shall take such action as is necessary to protect the intellectual property rights and you acknowledge that damages alone may not be an adequate, just, fair or appropriate remedy for any infringement of such rights by you.
Use of the site
This site is a user interface, it is not designed for managing automated process such as macros and robots that input volume transactions over short periods of time.
