‘The Faster Women social media workshops have been fantastic. The structure and delivery of the content was accessible to everyone in the group, whatever their experience of using social media for business, and I have found the advice and information given extremely useful. I have already seen results from the success of the Myrtle’s Kitchen Facebook page and it’s really helped me to build brand awareness. I would highly recommend the workshops to anyone in a similar situation to me.

Recently Jane has decided to focus the direction of her business into the distribution and marketing of her mango chutney. After carrying out market research on the best way to move forward and bring her product to a range of local shops and delicatessens, as well as the staple food fayres and events, Jane knew that using social media would be key to spreading the word about Myrtle’s Kitchen Mango Chutney.
That magic ingredient
Despite already being IT literate and confident using Facebook, Jane had only used the site in a personal capacity, and found the advice given on how to utilise it for a business was invaluable. She said ‘I have found Facebook great for networking with other businesses and creating awareness about Myrtle’s Kitchen Mango Chutney. I’m keen to give Twitter a go and will definitely be using the information from the workshops to help me get started.’
Jane also found the workshops to be a great confidence booster! ‘I have already recommended the workshops to other local businesses, and I hope that there will be more funding so that they can continue in the future. Having been out of the workplace for a while they gave me confidence to carry on and grow my business using all the social media tools available, it was great to meet other women in the same position as me and I feel reassured that I do have the skills to be able to use social media effectively.’
